Barbara Stok
The famous Dutch cartoonist Barbara Stok recently won the most prestigious cartoon prize in the Netherlands.
She tells us:
“I learnt Acem Meditation and then published a comic strip about it in the NRC Handelsblad.”
The NRC Handelsblad is one of the most prestigious business newspapers in the Netherlands.
When we asked for permission to reprint the cartoon in Acem Meditation eNews, she made an English translation herself.
Barbara’s early comics mostly dealt with loud music, sex and drunkenness, but she is now more concerned with themes like burnout, capitalism and the fear of death. And meditation:
